Just put another log on the virtual fire.
Poor weather today, its raining like it could and probably will rain all day.
Time to site buy the fire with a bike mag and a pint. Maybe shoot some virtual pool later, if anybody wants a game?

Poor weather today, its raining like it could and probably will rain all day. Pouring down in Gosport, but at least it's not snow (cold enough though) Time to sit by the fire with a bike mag and a pint. Maybe shoot some virtual pool later, if anybody wants a game? OK, but do you fancy a game of virtual mousetrap first?

Ok lads (and ladies).....I need a good comfort drink right about now... I might have told how twice a year I go on a long weekend with people from the dutch motor-forum. Both are different groups, but some know eachother. Before the actual weekend a small group goes to check the routes/hotels etc. That was this weekend. Yesterday one of the men was overtaking and crashed head on into a car.....he died instantly I wasn't there, but I knew the guy and we got on ok....he was a very laid-back easygoing guy that had bikeriding in his blood. René, Rest in Peace and my love to everyone around you... My heart also goes out to the guys there, especially to the people that saw it happening. Sorry to be so gloom....had to get it off my chest...

OMG...Poor man. Thoughts are with the family and friends. Mosy distressing for those who were with him at the time. Sure to be asked by relatives what happened, and bound to stay with them forever... Think it goes to show how unexpected life can sometimes be. A simple ride out can bring great pleasure or in this case so much pain. Sounds like he was an experienced rider and not some crazy risk taker, but undoubtedly mistakes and accidents can and do happen. Sorry for the loss of a friend, buzzin. Sit down and have that drink, and reflect on all the good times you shared with the crowd he rode with. On all our Journeys through life and particularly on the bikes.... may our road be long, our journey safe and full of joy, not matter how far we travel..

Sorry to hear that news, what a shame. Perhaps better instantly than to have suffered, but that is only small consolation.
Are you planning any form of memorial service?

Dreadfull news. Condolances to his family & friends. I didn't know Rene, but I also read "motorforum.nl". I see there that he was very popular. Such a loss. GvS

My mates gonna lend me his Pint glass........... ;D ;D ;D That will save time running back and forth getting a refill She must be a fit young lady. I can count 12 glasses and I'm going to guess there could be say half that again, which makes 18 They look like litre glasses so she could be carrying 18 litres of beer plus the weight of the glasses, which will not be insignificant, so in total, that's circa 20Kg - good skills! I wonder what the cost of that round was? £90?

I struggle getting 3 or 4 pints back from the bar to friends... big glasses like that got to be a fiver a pint........£90 quid sounds about right........................... (just thought,... maybe she chasing the guy who ordered it out the bar who panicked when he heard how much the round was... ;D ;D ) still, perfectly suited for the club bar once we all turn up thirsty...
