Sit down by the fire !?! !! I couldnt get off my bike when i arrived at my destination but soon warmed up in warm house and with help of warm hands ;D The roads were bad in some places then around a corner nothing !??! Snow is very strange. 78 miles one way, on the way home more snow. Eight miles from home I looked like a fecking snowman Glad to get home I can tell you, sadly no warm hands to warm me, I de-frosted in a couple hours, with the help of hugging my dog Rusty!! I wore heated gloves and waist coat, but with the length of the journey they really didnt make much difference. But the journey well worth every second BUT roll on Spring and Summer

i did the MCN bike show in london this year, with a pillion and 7 stone of luggage, we had fog going though reading to the point we couldn't see, by the end of that day we'd done over 350 miles, AuNTy took care of us every step of the way, only asking for new front wheel bearings on the return home, i'll have to post a picture at the state of the one we had to weld a bar to, in order to remove it.
But doing that milleage in snow is another thing lol, i used to commute in the snow on the old FZR 400, deadly business, but the Battalax tyres i had on her really held fast, only high siding once on the black ice in Devizes after commuting 10 miles into work that evening.

Also....could I make a slight comment about driving in this weather?
CCOOLLDD *shiver* My car is currently away for repairs (which it won't get as the engine is knackered) so I have relied on just bikes for the last two weeks. I admit....no snow, but that doesn't mean it's warm :/
A slight observation: a neckprotector thingy (collar?) + scarf under a tight bikejacket means I do keep warm...but above 50 mph I can't swallow anymore....above 80 mph breathing gets difficult. I think I will stick with body functions and a bit of cold over some warmth...

Seems someone is taking pictures of our visitors: Too bad it doesn't look like this for everyone (or maybe not, as most will see more of the background image)

That is impressive! At my busiest(dispatch this is) I was doing about 1000+ miles per week(mon-fri) that was on the cb500 and at the weekends I didnt even want to know bikes lol! The Busiest week I ever had was just shy of 1600miles, but I did 600 of those in one lovely sunny day down to brighton then back into town only to go up north to liverpool! I bought the ntv hoping to get more distance work-how does the riding position cope with distance then?

The NTV 650 has a slightly more upright position to the Revere, but both are ok for long distance (thought it's not a full touring bike) I have travelled quite a bit on mine...and my back is still in one piece (and I have a revere) Let's see... 1200 km in 4 days is 'normal' for the MF weekend The Megatour (despite it's name) is about the same....only with more luggage (camping, not a hotel). But all of this is in summer weather on holiday Normal weeks I drive around 500km just for work.
