Hi all not too sure where to put this, so i stuck it here cos i found it on the web.... ;D Chrome have been sticking big ads up in London papers etc, so not sure if this is all over, BUT they have got extentions like firefoxes, but the one i liked is Aviary ( i think) which lets you snap a pic on the web and edit it and then send it straight to a webpage, ie forum. chrome.google.com/extensionsSo right now we have to be saving pic, editing pic, upload it to photobucket etc the load to forum....so this could be a good tool...Only downside is its not maintstream so is only in Beta at the moment, which means IF you want to try it you gotta get the chrome BETA browser...got mine and will try and use it and post how good/lame it is. Cheers here is my 1st attempt...

Nice find Jaz I tried Google Chrome a while ago and it wasn't a happy experience. Can't recall why exactly, but I removed it within days. I'm using Firefox and generally happy.
Santa is bringing both my kids new laptops for Christmas, so I will inherit one of their "old" (two years!) ones. I'm thinking of installing Linux on my old one to give that a try.
I'd be very interested to see how you fare with Aviary it sounds a useful idea - keep us all posted.

I think I might try Firefox or Chrome soon, because this forum has become extremely slow using the Internet Explorer. It's only this forum that is soooo slow on my computer. All the rest of the internet (as far as I can check is the normal speed. Clicking on any link will take 10 - 15 seconds. And (very strange...) when I'm on this forum and type a new URL in my address window, it will also take 10 - 15 seconds before the requested site appears. If I do the same on any other site, the new page appears in the normal speed. Anyone else got these problems ? I've got to say that this slowness has put me off posting replies for a few days.... GvS

GvS Hi GvS...Never use ie so can't say if it is slow or not. Might be stating the obvious but i run opera, chrome..(Now the beta one) and firefox..if i get any issues i just switch. I suggest if you haven't already doen so, you should download these and give each of them a try. Each has its merits, so find out what suits you best. On the IE front, there must be something not right about it for people to bother rejecting it and installing others, when it come already installed on most computers............ . I Tend to use firefox more then opera, but until recently i had chrome down as a bit lame..ok, but not really going anywhere. But they recently had a big push on it, with load of ads and when i looked the beta version looks quite promising and a bit more closer to firefox with its gadgets then it was before. So i am gonna persevere with it for a while longer and see what its like.

IF you get chrome, get the 'iron' one.... that's the same browser, but without the data-harvesting. People should care more about privacy and Chrome violates it rather a lot. If you try Opera....keep in mind the interface it almost completely customizable. The standard lay-out doesn't do it justice though....it really is a great browser (guess what I use ) And now they have great options as well, to share stuff right from your browser. (even the fridge is there)
