Oh dear - what is (not) happening?
I'm assuming problems starting?
Do you the mean starter relay? This is the electrical switch that takes low current from the starter switch and provides the starter motor with high current straight from the battery and uses a solenoid to do this.
If so, did you test the starter relay, and have you ruled out the other links in the system (eg engine run switch, side stand switch, neutral etc).
Still assuming it is the starter relay, they should be common across most of the Honda (and any Japanese) range. Any breakers nearby?
Regrets, I don't think I will have a spare one for you.

Good girl It's clearly the relay then Nice innovative solution - the true spirit of aNTy ownership I'm sure there are some members who would just keep on with the pliers method - perhaps a link to the stolen motorbikes thread www.ntvhonda.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=688&page=1Without knowledge of the secret pliers technique the would be criminal would be stuffed when he (or she) tried to start the bike. £18 isn't bad at all, you could be looking at £90 for a new one

I took a quick look at Riva Yamaha www.rivayamaha.com/ and looked in their original parts finder, then Street Bikes for a 1991 Hawk GT (chain drive but almost identical) Electrical - Battery 216.37.204.203//Honda_OEM/HondaMC.asp?Type=13&A=80&B=45 if the link doesn't work. The Starter Relay (item 10) is $91 dollars. In my experience, the price quoted on there in US$ is similar (or often less!) to the UK sterling price Hope your eBay find is soon with you and fitted

Best of luck JJ getting the part 18 quid does sound like a good price compared to what the others are... Love the inventiveness "starting it with a pair of pliers" Excellent. Ilegal, ain't that always the way. Want something , buy it, then someone always says "I had one of those, if you had asked" ;D Still nice to know you are the 'GoTo Guy' for solenoids.. And Sky... Thats because YOU ain't got any other tools in your toolbox.... ;D ;D Mmmhh.......... Sky-Yama OR Sky-hammer............ ;D

hehe... no worries, i have a spare hammer and a pair of pliers in the shed also if needed seems it's always the externals that break on a NTV... A point of comfort being a NTV owner is.. we very rarely see owners asking for spare engines, i've a feeling they will find a NTV in 200yrs time under some mountain, when they dig it out from the surrounding ball of plastic and rust, clean up the carbs and bench test the engine it will still start 1st time every time...

Not really needed now, but worth confirming this: I was checking on David Silver Spares for replacement crash bar covers for the Mighty Pan (a bargain at only £14.50) and noticed they ar eselling the starter relay switch for a reasonable price (if I ever need one)(PS - would not fit the aNTy) Couldn't find one in a search for aNTy parts, so I got the part number (35850-MF5-751) from Riva Yamaha 216.37.204.203//Honda_OEM/HondaMC.asp?Type=13&A=80&B=45 part number 10 (I selected one item to purchase and then went to checkout. Put the part number in David Silver's website (which has an unusual, but excellent search) and got this www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/parts/by-part-number/partnumber_15963/Out of stock, but only £45 - so much for my price conversion! Still JJ - you got a bargain, let's hope it keeps working for you for many years to come
