My trip from home to work takes me through a rural bit in the Netherlands with quite a few farms. And as these farms will often grow things like patatoes or sugarbeet (which takes huge machines for harvesting) , the roads will get covered in a thin layer of clay. Riding these roads means that the underside of my bike will get covered in mud & clay. Yesterday I fitted a third mudguard, hoping this will prevent a lot of the dirt getting on the centre stand & collectorbox. See my site: www.stoeretassen.nl/My_NTV650/Spatborden/Mudguards.htmFranklin

Hey franklin, you wouldn't happen to be able to make me one of those rear fenders would you? The bit of plastic I have on there now does the job....but it doesn't look quite as fancy Of course some beer tokens will be included with my gratitude....

what? the scoop or the entire thing? I thought the scoop would be enough for a while....... ;D For those of you 'nuts' who want to extend the rear mudguard the same way as I have done. Here is the "how to do": 1. Find an ol bit of aluminium sheet (or aluminum as the yanks say) and copy this drawing onto it: 2. This is (more or less) what it should look like: 3. Then simply, cut along the lines & fold along the appropriate lines. And this is what it looks like: Attach to the inside of the original NTV rear mudguard, using the bolts which also hold your numberplate. And here's one I make earlier: ;D www.stoeretassen.nl/My_NTV650/Spatborden/Mudguards.htmFranklin PS. Buzzin, this one will be in the post for you (as soon as you PM me your address)
