It's a Hornet in true Hornet colours, and with my Black n Red jacket and trousers, the colour match looks fine. (don't think my Mrs could keep her hands of me if they was leather lol) As for the exhaust, it's standard, and very quiet. After riding the NTV, it's very revvie, and i keep looking for more gears, as if 6 wasn't enough.
Back to my NTV for a moment, hopefully i got a fuel tank on the way to me this week, handle bars and footpeg mounts already here. Colour matching is my next thing, and a right side panel, I have all the spray gear here, but never used it, any tips on what sort of paint would be the best for the plastics and fuel tank? Suggestions on a colour might be fun! was thinking of trying a Deep Purple. It's been a few years since I have tried body repairs, should be fun!
P.S Toe nail hanging on in there.

I love the yellow. I have seen a similar design down Poole Quay in bike night. How about a yellow NTV, I was reading a bike mag yesterday that said it is a very safe colour. Good to hear your NTV will run again she does look a bit bashed. Good luck with the toe nail.

Rj I'm working on the other half to get a Tuesday sorted for Poole nite, looking like it could be the end of August be fore I get a chance, and will keep you updated if I can get a date soon. My NTV rebuild has started, ;D trying to keep the costs down, finding lots of Hornet parts compatable i.e lights, light mounts, clock cases, e/bay is a wounderful thing Andy

Hi Andy,
The Hornet looks really tidy. Does the Hornet headlamp fit the NTV? I've replaced the reflector on mine but would like a nice shiney lamp unit. Hope the rebuild goes well.

The lamp should fit. It's a pretty standard size for lamps on all bikes. And the windshield looks like it's a standard puig screen....and they only come in 1 size... (I have no experience with hornets, I'm just going by what I see in the pics)

Yes the headlamps for a early hornet well fit a ntv and so does the clock case, so i found out. Looking close at both my hornet and the ntv, the front end forks etc look very much the same, possible maybe to use the hornet headlight mount if required, doing this enables the front indicators tobe modified/updated and placed each side on the headlamp unit. I'm toying with the this idea at the moment, so watch this space.
