Hello all,
I am new to this shaft drive baloney, so excuse my ignorance.
My old hawk had Cush drives that needed to be replaced every so often and really made a huge difference in the rideability of the bike.
My ntv isn't bucking me too hard through the gears but there is a LOT of engagement jerk between when the clutch catches and the rear wheel gets power. I have inspected the teeth in the rear gear through the fill hole and they look minty fresh.
ill be doing a clutch job soon enough so, if the rear shaft assembly need to be rebuilt... hmm... when would i know its time?
Does anyone know if there is a consumable that dampens that shaft drive that needs to be replaced every so often?
Consulting with others, it seems they equally scratch their heads and just say oil change is all you need.
thanks all.
