Hello again folks.
just a quick one. What would be the cause of the sliders not rising when I increase the throttle? it starts fine now and ticks over well. revs to 50% then no more. I did notice that they didn't lift.
If I blow air down the breather pipes to them, they rise just fine :\
any advice?
ta duck.

Either the membranes are shot or it jamming a bit - have you tried cleaning the with carb cleaner? Also, if you lift them 'manually' when its running, do they stay up or drop down again?

In 95% of all cases, seastate is correct in pointing towards the membranes. However, there are more possibilities, e.g. the holes in the slider are not free, some dust blocking the movement of the sliders, vents to the airbox clogged, etc. Check seastate comment first. If you have to change the membranes, you can use the ones from the RC36/I (the old ones) together with the VFR-sliders and the springs. Keep the needle of the NTV. This is a clear improvement over the original setup.
If you're stuck with your problem you might also ask for help in the very active german NTV board: ntv-forum.de there is an international board (english language) inside.
