With sadness, I`m letting all here know that Rick (member) `Odie` passed away. He was a VERY close friend of mine and a true biker ready and willing to help ANYONE out. I`ll post details of his cremation, date, place, time etc as soon as I can, he would want anyone here that he`d helped to be present. We celebrate the life of Rick 'Odie' Hoad on 21st September 2015. The cremation will be at the main chapel at Markeaton Crematorium at 15:20. All friends will be welcome bring photos for the photo wall, and all your stories. No flowers please, but please do make a donation. It doesn't matter how small and it will be revealed where the money is to go on the day. You will approve. Meeting up at Lakeside Cafe, Wide Lane Eastleigh at 09:00 for a 09:30 leave, then on to Hoad Hall (DE72 3JJ) arriving at about 13:30. I will pass on your condolences to Tigg, Rick`s widow. I remember hearing from Rick about your predicament, didn`t know what member it was on here so that was the reason I posted about his passing away. We will be celebrating his life on the 21st, it WON`T be a sombre affair.

Only learned of this today and I am, saddened as he was a genuinely lovely guy. He restored my NTV650 (which passed its MoT with flying colours last October. People of Rick's calibre are few and far between - he will be missed. I spoke with Tigga today and was advised Rick had a good send-off.

I didn't know the man except for a few posts here but seemed like a nice chap with the people he helped out from here.
Always sad.
