I am looking for handlebars for a 1995 ntv p as the ones fitted at the moment are not original and the levers are not laying in the right position in relation to my hands. Unable to adjust the position as the control cables are too short! Anyway, if you have a decent pair and you want to part with them, I would be interested in them. Cheers, Nigel.

HI Gramps if its the tubed handlebars you need unlike the awful handlebars on the ntv600 i just replaced mine with renthal ulta low handlebars they are much better than the original bars www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370828550596?var=640093066075&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649they need no modification apart from you need to drill a hole with a 1/8 drill bit into the under right handlebar side of the throttle the throttle housing has a metal lug/nipple that fits into a hole of the original bars. it would be difficult to dremmel the metal lug/nipple out so quicker to drill the handlebar. but the effort saves you a lot of money and give you a better handlebar with a more comfortable grip. here is a priceless video on how it's done saved me a lot of time just watching this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWX4Nddkz8ooh yeah and ignore the threads where people are saying you need to use honda deauville throttle cables i can post a video i can get full lock on my ntv and have the throttle snap back and thats without moving any cables.

Thanks for your very comprehensive reply "undercover" it is a great help, and I will be buying a pair as soon as I can make my mind up which will suit me . I am 5ft 8 and ride with a handlebar fairing so not quite sure of the rise I need! I am off to France at the end of next week and will wait until I return before disturbing things, don`t want to tempt a mishap (broken clamp etc,) before I go.
Thanks again, Nigel.

Hi Gramps i wouldn't advise on any other renthal handlebars apart from the ultra low handlebar i dont know if the other sizes would fit ''i dont think they would'' i am 5.10'' and prefer lower handlebars as they tuck me behind the fairing better and with the renthals my wrists dont suffer. also i have read a few threads telling that renthal handlebars are a problem for cables but i took the chance and found that they fit check out the video youtu.be/pvCwfeCKvLw

Bars turned up today, they look great. Could not wait, so fitted them with no problems. Went for a run-down check, and they are fine! I did not fancy drilling the bars but ground off the locating lugs on the clamps instead. I must say that the bars are very well made, and look super strong. The bars that I removed were not original Honda, so no wonder I could not get the controls to lay level with them, and under the twist grip was like a bit of Swiss cheese with the amount of holes that were drilled in the bars for the lugs on the clamps when I removed them from the bike. Cheers, Nigel.

thats a good result and i bet you feel alot safer now the bar i replaced was the same 2 big holes an aftermarket one. check this video video at 18 mins there is a good mod to get your bar end weights to fit the renthals with a couple of steel raw plugs and we need longer screws as the original ones are too short on the ntv . but he does mention the ones he used www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMSMM2zrXOQ i havent done it yet but any aftermarket bar ends will do but most are too light in my opinion but hey next time my bike is blown over in the wind it's not going to be so bad lol
