Just having a look around on the internet for some replacement mirrors (the ones I have are cheap and barely work) and I've been leaning towards getting bar-end ones rather than the standard 'stalk-type' ones.
I'm just wondering if there are any recommendations as to what mirrors I should get (below £50) and whether it makes a massive difference having only one mirror instead of the two?
The three sets of mirrors I've used in the past have all been pretty poor compared to my dads BMW ones.
Thanks.

Well, having only one mirror is bound to get you in trouble.....depending on where you mount it...on the other side. When changing lanes I really need my mirrors, unless you want to turn around on the bike every time....
Bar end mirrors are OK I guess, haven't tried them, but I know a lot of people are very happy with them. You could even try the ones that mount under the bars, as it means your arms aren't blocking the view....or so I have been told.
But to be honest....my NTV mirrors are quite big and I can see everything I want...but they are no match for the mirrors on my previous V-Strom 1000....they were fantastic, but not very pretty. I really miss those...as the ones on my Diversion are ... well.. utter cr*p. Fixed to the plastics (V-strom had plastics, but mirrors on the bars!) and at completely the wrong angles etc.

I would recommend any OE fitment, as most aftermarket mirrors vibrate to much. Scan ebay for a pair of hornet originals where the guy has put on some flash ones. If you want bar ends I'd go quality like rizoma or Oberon. BMW originals are bumm but due to BMWs having an unthreaded hole you might not find them to fit.

I can't for the life of me find any reasonably priced pairs that people have written good reviews for.
Everyone in the US seems to rave about CRG mirrors but they're expensive considering mirrors are often the first thing to break on a bike after indicators.
Looks like it's just a case of buying pairs until I find ones that work well enough for me.
Thanks anyway for the advice.
