I've been riding my NTV restricted since April 2012 but have had my full licence since November 2011 and now I'm wondering whether I could have taken the kit off a couple of months ago...
There doesn't seem to be any information online about it but it would be nice to know whether the restriction requirement ends once you've had your license for 2 years or whether you've been insured for 2 years?
Is it: Nov 2013 (2 years from passing) April 2014 (2 years from first insurance start date) May 2014 (End of second insurance term)
Thanks for any help.

I'm pretty sure it's 2 years from the date you passed your test (which should be the date your new licence runs from). It might be worth clarifying with your insurance company, as they will probably want to know that you are removing the restictors anyway. New rules certainly seem to be 2 years from date of test ( www.visordown.com/learners/a2-motorcycle-licence-explained/22034-2.html).

I'll probably contact MCE soon then and find out if taking the kit off will affect my policy. If not then I shall have it off 2 months earlier than I thought cheers guys.
