Hello folks
Newbie here from north of the border. Main reason for joining is to learn about, and then buy, an NTV 600 or 650. I spend a lot of time touring and recently started to prefer older Hondas. I previously owned a 650 Deauville which I took to Europe and loved it. Currently have a 1975 CB250 G5 and a 1981 CX500B, both of which I plan to further my travels on (pics below).
Once I know a bit more about the NTV (presumably similar to the Deau) I'll be looking to purchase a, preferably, low miler in good nick. I'll keep an eye out for any bikes for sale that come up on the forum.
Any questions, ask away

Welcome from Ireland and hopefully you should get all the info you need from the many knowledgeable people on here.
Your bikes are stunning I reckon they didn't look that good leaving the factory.

Thanks for the welcome folks.
Going to arrange to see a local bike first (haven't seen one in the flesh yet!).
GvS - mmmm, maybe too many K's for me. I'm actually in the Netherlands quite a few times each year (I nearly always start from Ijmuiden and head south) and I've also had holidays near Bergen and Breda. Might see you one day!

I'm going to look at a '95 650 with 25k on the clocks. Very clean bike and obviously really well maintained. However, the price is £950 and that seems high compared to other's that I've seen on ebay. This one is the best condition I've seen (which is my main priority) but is the price realistic? I do tend to pay for quality (which I'm assuming this will be) but would I be better holding off?
Any advice appreciated.

This one is the best condition I've seen (which is my main priority) but is the price realistic? If the bike is in excellent condition, with a true 25k mileage, then I would say up to £1000 is reasonable (although not necessarily a bargain!) I think that, at the moment, any NTV which goes and has a valid MOT is worth £500. As condition improves, mileage comes down and if there are any desirable extras, then the price goes up. You still see some coming up with dealers and they often put them up for over £1000, even when they're in good rather than excellent condition. At the end of the day, it's your money and down to your judgement as to how the bike fits your needs, but I think a really nice NTV for under a grand is still a lot of bike for the money. Hope it's as good as it sounds and you like it.....

Thanks gills.
I'll try and post a couple of pictures.
Oh, and it appears that the swing arm / final drive was professionally repainted 12 months ago - hence the new look!

I decided that the bike was just too far away for me to view (3.45hr each way).
Shame really, as I liked it a lot.
Hopefully something similar will turn up nearer home.
