After good advice I sorted my running on 1 problem out. The bike has run well and then stopped running on 2 and dropped back to 1 again. I stripped the carbs off but all appeared O.K. but the bike would not run on 2 (rear cylinder again). Concentrating on the carb for the rear cylinder I found that the main jet was in two pieces. The end 2mm had broken off. (end that was screwed in). Wemoto to the rescue and a new jet fitted. Replaced the carbs and started up. Petrol all over the show as I'd obviously made a balls of setting the float level. Redone everything and now running on 2. I'm only telling you this because I'm feeling pleased with myself for sorting it out How unusual is it for a jet to break like that ? ATB Ray.

Glad you got it sorted in the end. I suspect someone has overtightened the jet in the past, partially shearing it. With a bit of time/vibration it has then fallen to pieces entirely. Not what you expect to find, but well spotted!

Just wondering mate when doing your float hight what are you measuring to the top of the float or is there a mark on the float you measure too?
