Yes another question from the toolless wonder.
This time it's the bolt on the end of the crankshaft used to turn the motor to set the valve clearances, I suspect 19mm, but I would be most grateful if someone would be able to confirm.

I need to buy a socket that's why I ask. Hence the toolless reference.
I've dragged half way across the world by the Mrs with only a suitcase.

hi one way is measure across bolt head , you can use like a compass , dividers. then transfer to tape or ruler.. think its 19 or 20mm. normal undo anti clockwise,. it is awkward to guess without correct tools.we will try and help as much as possible..try and buy a good quality metric socket set,you will need on your rebuild. cheers martin.

standard socket set (M8-M22) will be more than enough for what you want and need. 1/2 inch drive is the one to go for. change the wife (lol)

it ether a 17mm or a 19mm can not quite remember but the more i think about it i seem to remember useing i 19mm

its a 17mm socket you need as ive done my valve clearances but ive upset the old girl as naw my fuel pump only works if it wonts to
