Looking good. This could be a valuable addition to the tech section when you get the mounts sorted.

Right, I decided to rehash this post up a bit. My pair of side covers arrived eventually, cleaned and prepared i made a mould and then opened it to find a half decent usable part.

Once i had prepared the mould, waxing etc i then tried it out and came out with a good replica. trimmed and then next job was to make some moulds of the rear mounting rubber, and the two posts upper and lower and the rear brace and rear mounting.

Now with the moulds of all the mounting done and the rear rubber made too... A good usable replica part is now completed.
Time taken start to finish approx 20 hours to prepare, make the mould, make the mountings moulds, replicate the parts and assemble. I also have a page on facebook, called "Classic replica motorcycle parts" take a look if you like, see what my spare time is taken up making.. May be of interest to some..

I have given your FB page a like. Is the plan now to fit the panel for road testing and possible mods pre a production launch?

Not sure how i will do a road testing , as i have not got an NTV myself yet.. What mods would be needed? Most of my other covers i have made have pretty much fitted straight onto bikes and with a slightly better fit due to the covers being more rigid than the originals, with less chance of the posts breaking off due to being brass wire reinforced.

Thanks, that was picked up quickly. What i generally find is most of the time, it takes about a year before any of these covers actually start selling. Very rare do they actually sell on ebay. Most people wait until the listing ends before they decide to try and buy.
