Hi, I'm a new old member (over 60) and thinking about hanging up my boots & leathers.
I've sold off my other bikes and am down to one remaining bike, bought new in 1993, a Honda NTV650-P (Red)with a genuine mileage of under 8,000 miles, (yes Eight thousand miles!!!!) (mostly dry), been dropped once (in the garage-nonece on the road), it's fitted with a boring old fart's windscreen and a set of Monokey panniers.
It's got current MOT and tax. What could I reasonably expect to sell it for? Where would be the best place to advertise it?
Thanks,

I'd agree that ebay is good for selling bikes - I've found it better than places like Autotrader for older things. Auctions can be a bit hit or miss and the price you get will depend on who's interested on the day it finishes. If you're happy to wait for the right person, then try a Classified Ad on ebay. Middle ground on ebay would be an auction with a highish reserve and a Buy It Now of what you'd like for it.
I think Martin's in the right ball park with the price, although I might go up to £1200, if it's as good as it sounds.
Good luck with your sale.

Sorry to hear you're hanging up your boots Andy... Agreement with the comments in both posts above. But another thing to bear in mind with a valuation is your location. There's a variation in prices across the country in auction & sales. In the meantime: - Pop an image on the bottom of this thread, (With a location. ) May get a better idea of what it's worth. (& might work out well?)

Don't do it Andy, you'll regret it. I'm in my mid 70's and still enjoy the occasional ride out on my 16,000 mile '93 NTV - weather permitting. Owned it since '99. Dropped it once when stationary and loaded up with camping gear. It too has monokey panniers and an old farts screen. But it definitely aint for sale, not yet anyway, I love it too much (even if it is Yucky Green).

I agree dont do it ,I am 72 have had my NTV for 8 years and done more miles this year than the last 8 because it has been such a good summer,I think you will regret selling.
