hi,i have been pointed to this forum by someone called "odie" on 100% forums where im a member. this was suggested as im selling my ntv650 n powerbronze fairing tho i dont want to be seen as joining solely for that reason. i do have a fascination for all things vtwin and have had africa twins and ntvs before and will again no doubt,in fact when i gain work again(just been laid off)i intend to build a cafe racer on the lines of a bsa/triumph/norton rolling chassis with an afrca lump in it(or ntv tho minus the shaft). so im asking before just doing it,would it be ok to post my for sales in your forum?. thank you.

Hi JCB and welcome to the forum. Thanks very much for your post, and your open approach.
By all means, post away and see if there is some interest - you have to try every opportunity ;D
We're a great set of NTV fans and it sounds as though you know your way around an aNTy. Take a look around, post your bike for sale and join us in some fireside chat

Hi jcb.
Welcome to our forum.
Also like your style and think you would make a good member. If you need any help loading pictures of your bike just pm me.
You may like to know that we are just about to open another category for non NTV bikes as some lucky members have more than one, and it means members don't feel they have to leave just because they have sold their NTV.
It will also give you space to post pics and progress with you vtwin project bike. It sounds like fun.
Luck with geing back into work soon.
Roger

thank you for the positive replies, much appreciated. i am a heavy plant driver, quarries mainly 40 -70 odd ton shovels mainly but 50ton excavators as well,i say am heh im currently unemp now thanks to certain bankers . hence the jcb nick although my favorites are the cats and on some forums im known as cat980,this model being my first experience of big stuff ,bigger ones than this one are a delight to drive . i have an ntv650 that i bought in as a winter hack and have refurbished somewhat.but now i find my van needs mot n tax n insurance etc and so have decided i need the van more,in case work takes off again, and so need to clearout some stuff including the ntv which is t+t vgood runner albeit tatty to look at ,and also a powerbronze voyager fairing + fittings which needs a screen and will be either in with bike or sold cheap. i have some one inerested at the weekend but have my doubts he isnt a dealer and so will probably advertise in here next week. again thanks muchly for the welcome and i shall become a regular most probably, helping where i can, although im more of a bike "modder" than a rivet couinter im afraid. cheers.

Hi JCB.. Ah the harsh economic realities really suck... Best of luck in the hunt for new work M8. Going to be quite a few in that position this year .. (fingers X here. ) As a few others said, like your style, nice. But if you got an NTV Why not, we are your first port of call for all things NTV .. ;D Whack it on ebay and wherever by all means, we will find it at some point, but sticking it on here ? No problem... Joining's good, maybe you'll like it and stick around once bike is sold or whatever? Chats are always pretty decent, and post in a bit and you'll soon catch up on to who the characters are, (Hubcap!..cough cough.. ) Might have missed it, but where abouts are you and how much for bike?..(Posted before your ad appeared, obviously.. ) So all in all ..............Welcome to the Club.. ;D

Hiya JCB! Hope it all goes smoothly with the sale, but as everyone else has mentioned, feel free to stick around, I for sure would love to hear how that cafe racer project goes along! Would love to see plenty of pics, too ;D

thanks chaps,i have put her up on for sale board, she has short mot but if anyone is interested im sure shell pass ok with the orig exhaust fitted n holes bodged, mite even pass with the vw trims in place, doesnt sound outrageous and is a very nice sound. just got back from a 60 mile rideout in the sun and she went lovely, only thing i could comment on is the forks have been stiffened by previous owner and tbh i prefer the standard softness for round here as they dont know what road repairs are . theres no chicken strips now either

Very interesting project: "trike-ing" an NTV. We want to see lot & lot of photo's.
It's also something that I'd never do to my NTV (unless there was a medical necessity). I like it far to much to lean over in the curves and also to pass traffic jams. So I'll just stick to two wheels.
Be careful with that grinder !

must admit im the same, love building stuff inc trikes but wouldnt have one,i remember the chaos that ensued when i had a ural and sidecar(right hand chair ffs) and after that i thought itd be better to have a goldwing with a left hand chair,,nope, worse by miles, kept forgetting and trying to filter heh, plus when i went to kent custom from cornwall my m8 went most of the way on the hard shoulder,he wasnt impressed i can tell u. 2 wheels for me now
