Hi,
I'm rebuilding my forks with new oil seals and both of those blasted damper rod bolts are stuck fast, nothing I've tried can loosen them,
Is there a knack to getting them off and is it possible to change the seals without taking this bolt out? whats the best way of securing the fork legs to get better leverage on the damper bolt as well? I don't have a big enough vice, just stick them back in the yokes and have a go at them there?
Thanks for the help!

just stick them back in the yokes and have a go at them there? I've always done this - just be careful not to tip the bike over if you're giving it lots of welly. If you can, get someone else to hold/sit on the bike whilst you wrench.

Should've loosened them before doing anything. You do need to take them out to remove the seals, as the slider wont come out with them in. Put handle bars onto left hand lock to stop them moving and just crack them. If you undo them too much the fork oil comes out, a messy bit of experience I have... Leave spring in and top bolt when you take the forks out then you can undo them fully. Then you can use the sliders to pull the oil seal out with the bushes. hth
