Well, last night I had some great news... Last year I did the charity Lands End to John O'Groats on an old Revere. That bike was (mechanically at least) superb and I have always regretted selling it. But I had committed to the charity that its sale price would go into the pot.... I gave the new owner my contact details and told him if he ever wanted to sell it, he must call me first!!! Well, he did ! I did the deal last night and on 28th Jan I get my Revere back Can't wait to add it to the growing collection.......

I seem to remember you took the stickers off when you sold her; are you going to add them back on when you get her back.
She looks quite the adventure bike with all the stickers on.

But does it still feel the same as it did before you sold it ? that is the real question.

Unfortunately, like most stickers, they were ruined in their removal... Though I am planning to "transform" this one into my tourer... not entirely sure what that entails yet, but I'm determined that this becomes the one that I can get my wife on for long hauls... If only I had some luggage ;D ;D I thought I had some knocking around the garage but can't find them.....

Great news!!! I remember seeing the auction and thinking it was very sad and also rather liking the bike! My Revere is white like yours and that bike is my mental image of what I'd like the bike to look like eventually. Really glad to hear you're riding the bike you did that trip on again.

Well this weekend was the first real chance to tidy and play with my white Revere. I've removed the rack (plan to fit my Wingrack soon), replaced two broken indicators, repaired cracks in the fairing, given it a bit of a service and an initial clean and given it a good run. Oh and spent hours removing hi-viz stickers.... It rides just as I remember. Can't wait to get it properly sorted..... It really is filthy and needs a complete de-grease and wash with all the plastics and tank off.... Very happy though
