Some of you have seen the setup I made for using my car sat.nav. on my bike. In case you haven't, here a link: www.stoeretassen.nl/My_NTV650/Navigatie/Navigation.htmThe actual sat.nav. was attached to the house using velcro. Unfortunately, this method of fixing wasn't designed for UK roads; so, on my trip to Beaulieu, it became loose once in a while. That's why I desgned my "Sat.Nav. MkII". The aluminium house is longer (to keep the rain off it better and to prevent the sun rays shining on the screen). But the most important improvement is the universal GPS mounting ball I bought: Left photo: with GPS fitted; seen from below. Right: I used a lockbolt (?) with a square hole to prevent the bolt rotating. System fitted. Photo right: view from the riding position (the actual GPS not yet fitted). Bring on the spring/summer of 2012! I want to do a big trip again ;D GvS
