Just having the rocker cover gaskets changed as one is seeping. Whilst they are off, just going to check clearances.
Can anyone confirm the gap please?
Thanks WS

Check and set the valve clearances cold
Exhaust = 0.18 to 0.22 mm Inlet = 0.13 to 0.17 mm
Have fun

BTW, I've set the clearances a week ago, but just to make sure, there are 2 inlet valves and 1 outlet valve for each cylinder, right? :-) The Haynes and Honda manuals just give the inlet and outlet valve clearances but don't have a big flashing arrow for beginners specifying "this is the inlet and this is the outlet valve".
Also, what do you use for the valve adjustment if you don't have a valve adjusting wrench? I used a pair of pliers, and I had no problems whatsoever with the rear cylinder, but getting to the outlet valve of the front cylinder was a major pain in the neck, I had almost no space to rotate the pliers... I did manage to do it after major cursing and lots of sweat, but in the future, I'd prefer to have a more useful tool handy :-)

Two in and one out
The inlets are facing inwards on the Vee, ie towards the carbs. The Exhausts are facing outwards towards - the exhausts!
Put your pliers away!
I think it's an M10 spanner for the locknut and a suitably small open ended spanner for the adjuster.
I might be able to give you the size at the weekend when I'm next home.
It will be very difficult trying to ensure the gap stays right with pliers.

Thanks. I have a full set of sockets but only a few open ended spanners, and none as small as 4 mm, so I guess I'll have to get one. :-)
