Took of the exhaust to put some sealing gunk round ready for the MOT and one of the stud snapped.. unable to get it out so it looks like i will have to take the head of and drill it.... so my question is... gaskets. pattern or original. ( baring in mind i only do 3000 miles max a year on this ( probably more like 1000 ) ?? also took the rad off... quite a lot of it is blocked, has a hole through part of the fins... and the bottom of the fan mount has broke. .. so double bugger

hi,
something as important as head gaskets i would definatley recomend original honda parts. Go to david Silvers online and they can sort u out, i cant remember the price off the top of my head but they were not dear.

genuine Honda parts without question, even brake pads { I have used both pattern and Honda } the Honda ones last a lot longer and the braking performance is much better.

I am dreading removing (or attempting to) my front downpipe as the nut is fairly rusted up, just know it will snap!

hi all, i know this sounds silly but if you see a bolt that looks a bit suspect try and tighten it slightly first. sometimes you will find that the bolt isnt actually that tight but all the crap in the threads is holding in there tightly

well, now the engine is out i can get the air gun socket on it... came out easy after that...
rest of it came off easy.. so now a matter of getting this bloody stud out...
also... the timing chain tensioner's , the ones that come out don't look right... the pop up bit on the top is fully out. does not seems to b e connected in any way to the rest of it... got some spares some where.. will compare
.... Go compare.. go compare..... ( right, stop that now )
