I'm not sure which bit of my NTV to lock to my ground anchor. I have a thick chain lock which I already had, but I can't put it in any of the obvious (right hand side of bike for parking related reasons) places as the cover will melt onto the hot pipes.
I'm thinking maybe leave the chain locked and connect it to the bike with a metal U-lock which won't leave melty bits on the pipes. Or somehow bite the bullet and park the bike the other way round, which is almost not possible due to the shape of the area I keep the bike in, I'd probably end up dropping it one wet and dark evening.
What bit of the bike do you lock to?

I chain mine round the fork leg. The main thing I would say is try and keep the chain links off the ground. I also use a disk lock. I did suggest to the general that I bring the bike into the lounge. The answer was no but the laugh was priceless.

Super, thank you - I went for fork leg and disc lock in the meantime. I Have a garage but my partners car lives in front if it so i'd have to move a car twice every time I wanted the bike in or out of the garage - not practical at all... And besides, there's a Varadero 125 in my garage until it's sold

I looked at the Varadero before I got the Revere. (feel free to post details in the bikes for sale section when you get round to selling her)
I sat on a Varadero and it did have nice big bike feel.
I used to ride a 125 years ago with a full Rickman faring. I find a standard size 125 feels a bit exposed now.
