What do you mean "playing up"? Before you go buying new switchgear try opening up the SG with the two screws underneath then give the interior a d**n good soak in WD40 as I had to do this to ALL my switches last Dec for the MOT as I had no HL Flasher, No Indicators and an intermittent HL HTH Andi

wd40 wont repair the the breaking up contacts inside the switch.
I could live with a light switch letting me down while out and about, but not an engine cut out switch that is very hard to sort out on the roadside. so I have dived into the loom and bypassed it for now, but its not an mot requirement anyway. it might just stay that way.

Aaaah the dreaded Honda Crumbling switch syndrome ... Always a bugger to fix that.
Good luck on getting a replacement, Have you checked ebay? there was quite a few sets of switchgear on there the other week.

Thats the one. the high beam switch is the same , it needs a wiggle to connect back on low beam but I never use it so its not a problem. I have wired the cutout switch out of the loom now so again not a problem, don't think I have ever had to use a cutout switch so it wont be missed . when I find a decent pair I will replace them both but its not urgent. the little Honda is still out working all day earning me a days pay and gaining students their full license.
