hi all, i was having a look on the mcn website earlier on and i thought i may as well see what they have to say about the ntv 650 in their reviews and upon reading it it said that there is a cottage industry who tunes these engines. does anyone know who? regards peewit

MCN are probably refering more to the bros bikes which are basically a sportier lighter version of the ntv they have a carb tuned verson of the ntv engine but with chain drive(from memory... ). Big in America...try a google search for gt hawk theres an american forum devoted to them. Heavyily tuning an ntv with a final drive being a meaty shaft drive whould be pointless....

i know a guy that has his 650 bored to a 700 with high comp pistons and race cams and some trick clutch,he's a mechanic so he knows the bike inside out I'm currently working on tuning my engine. Max displacement with 2x +3mm wiesco/J.E. pistons is 696cc 11:1 ratio. Also considering getting the xrv750 'afric twin' con rods and pushing the displacement upto 760cc (longer stroke). Think that will also work but will be alot of £££ for a mere 64cc increase and (maybe) less perky motor . Could throw alot of money at this project but it will be special!!!
