Hi all, as i have mentioned in previous posts the old girl runs a fuel exhaust can with the baffle in, but even with baffle out or even on the original horrid motad can she popped and banged on the overrun and also stuttered at idle. I know the cause is worn jets in the carbs and added it to the list of things to do. anyhow i digress, i keep the baffle in the can as the noise of backfires is obscene with it out. but i decided to shorten the baffle just to crisp up the exhaust note slightly. I have cut about half of the internal pipe away and now there is no back fire at all, she runs at idle beautifully and picks up and spins through the revs even quicker than before. And the desired effect was achieved with the exhaust note, it sounds bloody lovely now. I just cant explain how this small mod has changed the way she handles/runs so much. Can anyone? take it easy ed

hi there, i also run a fuel exhaust on my ntv and im also having the pop on over run. i have found that the bike does seem to accelerate slightly better with the baffle in but im a sucker for the unbaffled bark. ideally i would say that the fuelling has been put out a little bit by the open can hence the reason it seems nicer with the baffle in place. to my experience though most twins that run a 2 into 1 pipe tend to be a bit lively on the over run. the fuel exhaust is lovely and money well spent.
take care peewit
