I have joined as i need some advice. I want a bombproof second bike for work and running around and a friend mentioned the REVERE so here i am asking about them. I have £800-£1000 to spend on a bike, i am a decent machnic and not affraid of oil changes and doing my own servicing. So any pointers as to what to look for and who might have a bike for me in the back of their shed...
Do people do luggage for these bikes as i really like touring and bike rallies so might look into that. Thank you in advance for any replies. Mark

I have a Revere with over 90k on the clock and love her to bits. They do have second gear issues common to the NTV but not all have that problem. Jazz never did have 2nd gear on his and found it fine to ride. If I give mine fist fulls of revs and drop her into to second she with drop second. But if you drive with less aggression she pulls like a train and corners like a sport bike. You will have a choice of some tidy bikes for the money you have. And as if by magic www.ntvhonda.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=sale&action=display&thread=1545

You will get a really nice one if you are a bit patient.
If you look on preloved at the moment someone is advertising a white Revere with genuine 14K miles. Check it out.
