Hi Rj Nice, and will look good on machine but I think it will have very little effect, imho It barely tops the insturment panel. and will still leave you unprotected from the wind. Think you would be better off waiting and checking out ebay/gumtree type sites for a bigger screen, personally. Would guess Santa may have visited one or too lucky bikers with screen prezzies, and what are they gonna do with the old ones? Will have a look later and see if I can come up with anything for you. Might even get it up to a new thread. The "G.R.A.G.S." Appeal (Get Roger a good screen....... ;D ;D ) keep em peeled.... Ride safe Jaz

Agree with Jaz, probably better for the appearance than it's effect from the same vendor, this is probably a little better www.getgeared.co.uk/PUIG_Custom_Touring_Screen, but a lot more beer vouchers to trade in. like Jaz suggests, wait and see what comes up on eBay?

Just wanted to take the edge off the battering, attracted by the easy fitting. I Have seen full fairings for the revere, but as mine is worth about £400, I need to be realistic . I think I will sleep on it and make a final decision tomorrow evening. Any other comments welcome... For those with small screens are they worth the effort? Dumb question I guess as you use them but, having bought one; would you buy another in the future? Cheers all Roger

Too small, only make bike pretty
Bit bigger keep the 'naked' look and offers Some wind protection.
Real big, too expensive, and overwhelm 'Naked' look
Would i fit one? Have and would do it again. Not quite Naked, but does add to bike prescence on road.

Hi Roger, I wouldn't want to ride my bike without the screen. It takes a lot of wind away from your upper body. My screen is just at such a height that my helmet is in the wind. This means that I always have to close my visor (to prevent me eating too much flies, bugs etc). The screen was already fitted when I bought the bike, so I didn't have to choose. But if I did have to choose, I would have bought one which is a bit higher. That way you can ride with your visor open in summer without the bug-problem. Ride safely Franklin www.stoeretassen.nl/My_NTV650/Windscherm/Wind_shield.htm

That Puig screen in your first post was the same one I had, it makes more difference than you'd think, though having moved on to a slightly bigger screen I definately prefer the big one, only because I can duck a bit and get right out the wind, perfect in winter!

It all depends on two things: rider hight, and what type of bike. I can 'duck' behind the screen a bit, and it gets better, but I am 1.80 (5'11") and sitting upright does cause a bit of noise. The other thing is the type of NTV, I rode on a friends NTV once and we both agreed, his felt like you sat more upright, and mine felt more 'sporty' in position.....I am sure this makes a big difference when fitting a screen. BTW: Getgeared.co.uk seems to be a reseller for the german shop I keep revering too (louis.de), vanuci, probiker and Highway 1 are louis brands So, find the right product, and see how much cheaper it is in Germany (although, currently with the low pound it might not be cheaper) simple proof: www.getgeared.co.uk/Motorcycle_Gift_Ideas (notice the Louis logo?)

Hi RJ,i dont know if your interested or not ,but i fitted a full powerbronze at the start of the winter for commuting from north wales to work in Liverpool and its brilliant! keeps the rain off and alot of the cold out. They are expensive new but im sure there must be a few kicking around second hand. I have been serching at home this morning for a number for you but to no avail,as when i was looking for mine,i was offered two.I will have a search again when i get back home and pm you if i find it. Thanks Graham, details and approx cost on a pm would be good. I have taken on board all your advice and have not bought yet, happy in the thought that I have found one solution. I think I will spend the money getting the carb inlet rubbers done so that they can be ballanced first. Summer again soon. ATB Roger
