jazz, Just liked the idea of formally calling us the NTV club or some such tag, just a quick thought. As far as the pre loved posts I did not notice they were that old. lol Picking up on another one of your comments. Re parts for the NTV which I note you have posted to the old forum. Is it worth starting a thread for parts with a table as I have a cbr fuel pump fitted to mine. EG CBR 600fs fuel pump fits 1989 Revere Full of thoughts the rest of you can decide if they are good ones ;D Roger

Hi Rj Like the idea of such an all encompassing name... Just makes all the other little ntv sites (Continental ) seem like imposters . Pre-Loved post... ;D Not really clear straight away how old posts are, caught me out too... Parts is a GREAT idea..! Keep hearing how expensive or hard to get some parts are, would be great to be able to quickly look up a reference table for what other parts fit the NTV. Think this would be right up sickpups street.... or one of the more "techie" minded members happy to post or contribute in any way to get this started. (Btw; Will post up competition for background pic..New Year new pic for end of jan? What ya think... Jaz

Nice links Jazeroo
Any progress on your bike yet?
The weather is getting rather nice and it's no good thinking that your aNTy is just sun bathing in someone's garden.

Cheer McF None so far mate, family taking up quite a bit of time. Mum recently broke pelvic bone and then a week later her wrist.. Dad not too good, so been visiting more often. Toying with an other bike, currently sniffing around a zzr600, fj1100/1200, a 125 scoot, (good for steffi or my nephew once i'm done. ) or Gpz 600/900 hence review pages. Got my eye on a bros but think it might go for more money then i want / have to spend... Any reviews of above bike ownership gratefully recieved.. still what ho, got the ntv waiting for me.... ;D having to use bus and train makes me more aware that being a ped sucks ...BIG TIME!! 2 wheels or Die.. ....Or maybe catch the bus a while longer....

Jazz - Sorry to hear about your family woes. No wonder you don't have time to sort out your aNTy.
Your list of bikes is interesting, but none to report on from my experience.
Interested that your list doesn't include Suzuki Bandit. A versatile and reliable mid range bike.
The 125 scoot is an interesting proposition (provided you don't mind comments from us ;D), especially if you can provide it as transport for the next generation. For your daily commute it must be worth considering and presume they're cheap as chips to insure.

I also considered the 125 option when mine died last time, as my daughter has a lid and kit now and is saving for a bike. I took her for a ride around our local car park today and then followed her on the back of her boyfriends bike to keep the general happy. Poor kid was doing bits and almost rear ended a van ;D oops might have to keep that quiet . My daughter sat still though and it was not a major issue. But I did have a word about giving himself some more thinking time. I sat on a new 600 Yam today if that helps. Very nice. Not looking to buy one but it was there and it would have been rude to say no Interesting range of bikes you are looking at. What are you planning to do with it? Commute, tour or boy racer ;D I passed my test on a Bandit and have to say it was a nice bike to ride, very easy commute and plenty of grunt when you change down and twist. R.

Hi thanks for contribution, to be honest bandit is on the list but it is a cheapskate list, as i still want to have enough cash to resurrect 'Dunk' (as in the noise it makes as i bypass 2nd to 3rd...Dunk.. ) And the Bandit is still much sought after... Need wheels for home and hospital visits etc, so boy racer ..(Nice ) is a bonus but not the reason i might want it. ..it has to be reasonably cheap, have current MOT, and be close enough to view or collect. My nephew lent me his boation Q50, when he went on hols which got me back into bikes.. (a little while later, he bought another Moped, honda thingy, nice..Too nice. Chavs stole it and set it on fire.... ) he might want a bike real cheap after i get auNTy V fixed ... So e-bay and Gumtree beckon with the required CV's..... Under £600. Current MOT near to London.. So the mix is exotic to say the least, and i am learning SO much about other bikes..I loves looking and learning, But i do need. I do Want,..I MUST HAVE a Bike...AAGGHH!! (Stops and takes anti-Psychotic/Lunatic/non biker pills...ahhh.) Or maybe the bus will do for a few more weeks...... You all ride safe You Lucky bike riding B*****ds, don't worry about us 'Bus riding, train getting No hopers'............... you just enjoy the RIDE... ;D Till my my toes N tyres hit the tarmac, your ped friend....

It's becoming a sad tale of woe Have you tried Autotrader? I did a search based on an SW6 post code and within 20 miles, priced between up to £1000 and got 231 results. You need to sift out a lot of £75 adverts from traders wanting to buy bikes, but there may be something there www.autotrader.co.uk/BIKES/bikes.jsp
