Hi all
RJ ...Nice pics..
Well a quick run down on MY trip.
Got me a new tent, packed and ready to roll.
Pulled up at popham after a nice but slightly boring ride M25/M3.
Saw the planes real early, and followed the google map instructions,
saw sign for airfield, and 'hello' Popham... ;D
Rj there already, so we set about setting up my tent.
Piece of cake really, don't know what i was worried about.
Tent was up in 5 minutes all pegged out and looking good.
Really looking forward to using the tent with the missus.
(Just trying to work out how to tell her that Roger has to come on every trip....
well he did such a good job this time around ;D)
Btw, Cheers Rj for all the help.
Skyhook, jan and buzzin all turned up after a while.
so we went for a wee wander, got beers..
and back for some grub..Thai...Yummy...
but it didn't stop roger making a few trips to the counter for second helpings..
Finally we got stoney and his G/f danni along and settled down for a beer laden meet & greet fest.
Buzzin proceeded to astound us with the kit he had come with.
Camera/Video on side of lid, for starters....
Think universal soldier meet Doctor Who
(Honestly I HAD more by looks but he must of bought his bike off The actual 'Doctor', cos he had twice as much kit, in half the space..)
Whilst everyone added something to the chat, it has to be said that stoney kept us most amused with talk of him and his friends exploits on bikes..personally i never knew whether to be shocked, laugh or cry at some of the crazy stunts they all got up to....

It was all excellent company and top entertainment.
sadly bedtime beckoned for all, so endeth the 1st day.
Camping review.
The tent meister had done a brilliant job of the tent, big and spacious, and good quality apparently, but the bed was uncomfortable (Bigger airbed next time) and the bag let my feet get hold (Arctic bag next time) so a good nights sleep was a little difficult..
Next day dawned, so jan set about making the morning coffee (cheer jan, it was very welcome )
It was glorious day, and time to check out the bikes.
Hands up. never been to a bike meet/autojumble before, BUT i loved it.
Lost the NTV crowd but was happy spending the time just looking at all the stalls and bikes.
Met up with the others later and then met the rf crowd as well.
Oh, and RJ got the Thai 2 step.....hehehe
Thank god for loos on site..
(Btw,Very nice too, but i speak as a bloke, so a slightly stinky toilet is ok with me, as long as it does its job
..after all I don't plan on moving in
)
Just before we left Stoney and his mate adrian, bought 3...yes 3 bikes and stuck them in the back of his pick up...
AND got them all in....
;D )
Time came to strike out and leave for home.
Rode with Buzzin for a bit then we parted and I struck for home.
( safe journey, buddy
)
So Popham gets a big 10/10 from me ..
(Oh did i mention the light planes and microlights taking off and landing just feet away ;D ;D )
and MY NTV awards (what would a meet be without them...)
(Wonder what other peoples categories and winners would be? )
