The very same. "Good point given this thread is now 4 pages long " Click on the link below for a new window displaying a count down clock to the largest NTV rideout of the year. ;D Deep down you know you all want to come. Count down to our MegaMeet at Popham-Airfield

Right....folkstone to the airfield is to short, and from harwich it's to long...as is non-stop from home to popham (700 kms) I was thinking of riding along the south coast.....is it any good, and should I stop anywhere? Another problem....what topbox to take? I have paniers, but the choise between a large topbox (currently on the strom) and a small one (on the Revere now). And what to take? Did anyone find out what the facilities are yet? most important...is there a toilet? Any chance of a coffee in the morning? (or bring my own) Ow well, I'll plan my route soon, and book crossings and hotels/b&bs once I know what/where/how

From dick at Popham.
Roger No problem with you all camping on site before and/or after. I think I told you that it'll cost you a fiver per adult for entry fee but that's it.
The toilets will be on site during Saturday and Sunday but in any case, there's a proper toilet block by our clubroom with a limited supply of hot water.......There'll be catering on site and a bar all day Sunday but for saturday night (as you said) there's Popham Diner on the eastbound carriageway and a Little Chef on the other side of the road. Both these are off the end of the airfield.
There are also quite a few pubs within a couple of miles of the airfield.... Cheers dick
Personaly I can't wait it should be fun and good to meet you all.

Good up date Rj Buzzin, big is always better... ;D Coast roads ...Mmh not too sure 2 hours 45 on the Motorway 4 hours 15 on a roads Coast road will probably add another hour or two. Brighton is pretty ok for a stop. traditional English seaside town, quite buzzy AND tacky at the same time. Nudist beach and big gay community. Pebble beach with fairground marina and old fashioned Pier with amusements. Here is a few links to give you a feel for the place www.visitbrighton.com/www.realbrighton.com/www.brighton-racecourse.co.uk/Sure others will offer opinions. Just mind to let us know when your coming. Sure we can all arrange to meet up along the way.. travel safe

RJ a detailed map of camp site might help also seeing as you are sorting it out how about a mobil number just in case someone gets lost, so they can call and get an escort to camp site.
Also Buzzing as I have said before if you need somewhere to stay you can crash at my place, its about 2 hours from docks and about an hour the next day to popham, also if you need company on the ride I am sure I can meetup with you somewhere along route.
Also think I am meeting up with Jazz for the ride down to popham but am not sure
