Just added the lovely christine to demonstrate how to make a linked image Using Flickr? (Like me) First go to your Photostream (you own private page) and click the image you want to use. (click to zoom in) -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Click the 'all sizes' button on the top. select what size to use (I used medium here). Now in the box under the picture there are two options. Use the first one, the second one is pointless, as it would violate their users policy -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Select the text, and copy/paste into the forum reply box. You get something like this: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/buzzinspetrock/3274353857/" title="p7060092 by BuzzinsPetRock, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3400/3274353857_55eb2bc170.jpg" width="500" height="374" alt="p7060092" /></a> As you can see, it doesn't work on this forum (fortunatly). You need to transform it to something usefull like this: The bold parts are what you need, the rest is useless now: <a href=" www.flickr.com/photos/buzzinspetrock/3274353857/" title="p7060092 by BuzzinsPetRock, on Flickr"><img src=" farm4.static.flickr.com/3400/3274353857_55eb2bc170.jpg" width="500" height="374" alt="p7060092" /></a> Transform it to this: [*url= www.flickr.com/photos/buzzinspetrock/3274353857/ ][*img] farm4.static.flickr.com/3400/3274353857_55eb2bc170.jpg[*/img][*/url] Without the * this gives:
And what about Google's picasaweb then? Well, until recently they didn't have an easy way to hardlink to an image. But now they do....quite well actually. Here is how to: Make sure you are logged in. 1. Go to the picture you want to include. 2. Click on "Link to this Photo 3. Select the size of the picture you want to embed 144px: 288px 400px 800px (if you image is smaller then 800pixels, it will reduce the options) 4. copy the code from the Embed image box 5. Paste this code into the message box on the forum It looks like this: <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/hC5ezlJrWv78fTkmRFStZA?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="http://lh5.ggpht.com/_5tSqlNqZcPM/Sf2_d4MsV2I/AAAAAAAAAm8/TSCS96GE5WY/s800/dsc00084.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/buzzins.pet.rock/MFMegameetMei2009?feat=embedwebsite">MF Megameet Mei 2009</a></td></tr></table> not very usefull so far. Trim these bits in bold: <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/hC5ezlJrWv78fTkmRFStZA?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="lh5.ggpht.com/_5tSqlNqZcPM/Sf2_d4MsV2I/AAAAAAAAAm8/TSCS96GE5WY/s800/dsc00084.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/buzzins.pet.rock/MFMegameetMei2009?feat=embedwebsite">MF Megameet Mei 2009</a></td></tr></table>6. and replace them with this: [*url=picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/hC5ezlJrWv78fTkmRFStZA?feat=embedwebsite][*img]lh5.ggpht.com/_5tSqlNqZcPM/Sf2_d4MsV2I/AAAAAAAAAm8/TSCS96GE5WY/s800/dsc00084.jpg[*/img][*/url](remove the *s, they are there so you can see the code) 7. you should now end up with a clickable image like this:

I now have this as my desktop wallpaper.
Top shot buzz, this has set the standard for the march competition.
The big question is what other gold have the members got tucked away.
Whatever happens with march. Great shot.

Click here for Photobucket's home pageLike that, simple: [*url=http://www.photobucket.com]Click here for Photobucket's home page[/url] Or were you on about linking a pic thumbnail to photobucket main pic? Or did you mean actual HTML instead of BBcode? HTML would look like this: <a href=http://www.photobucket.com/>Photobucket's home page</a>

Hi hubcap With regard to HTML or just the magic of the web I feel like 'grasshopper' from the Kung Fu series with keith carradine, with you and Buzzin as the 'Master' .. ;D I feel i have so much to learn, but with clear simple instruction even I can follow, I'll web master 3rd dan yet.... Hubs that was exactly what i meant..Thumbs up What a difference a Forum makes. On another forum (No names mentioned ) i felt ridiculous because i posted what i thought was an interesting link (as you do) and some smug tw@t pointed out how LOoooNg my link name was without pointing out how to make it look like you just did..T0sser... ) But you have shown me the true way... ;D and the Way is good... For those of you too young to know what i mean (and I include you in that hubs, of course.. ) here is a link to Kung FuIn a fit of nostalgia I checked out some Bruce lee Links Did 'Shotokan' karate for several years and Bruce Lee was a bit of a hero....Although all played up for Hollywood, it was reported at time that he could do all the moves in the movies, hence his popularity amongst Kung fu fans AND studio bosses ( No stunt man needed if star is that good.. ) In fact several martial arts specialists when meeting up at various exhibitions, do recall him actually punching a guy across a room after hitting him with a punch from just 3 inches away, once he was focused and in the zone.. Urban myth? maybe but still a good story... ;D ;D here are the links with hubcap 'Web' magic on board. Btw. Those Nun Chukkas, (truncheons on chains) pretty lethal in the wrong hands, and training with the Fcukers was a nightmare, done more damage to your self then the opponent, but when used correctly...like being hit by a chair leg at 60 mph...Ouch.. Bruce Lee..The Original MasterOR wanna take ME on?Hubcap, thank you for the help....
