Welcome Wanderer, There's been a few members with trikes on the forum, (very few images though) check out the posts of 'YellowMelos'. Not many specs... (& being at that, umm 'certain' stage, [age] of life)... I'd be very interested in some of the specs of your trike; axle & ratio - rear wheel & tyre sizes - MPG & ridability open road & traffic. Wishing you well with your project, it looks to mainly be there, is it a cosmetic, mechanical or everything project? Chaz

Hi All, Will dig out my logon at some point and re-post. yes i still have the trike but it has not been out in a few years. the Axle is a relient robin item but turned upside down ( or you will go very fast backwards ) it has been converted to disc as the back from drums ( plenty of articles on this from the web for this ) top speed is about 95 ( may have gone a little faster ), wheels are from a MG ( but needs offset wheel studs and a centering cone ) Fuel eco is around 300 miles until reserve is required ( if i remember correctly ) Could do with being lower at the back to increase the rake as when it runs out of fuel it wants to tank slap a lot as you slow down.. and trying to go on reserve with happening is not good. Still fun but you cannot filter through traffic Cheers, YellowMelos

Cheers YellowMelos, Thank you, I do remember seeing images a few years ago, (I recall the ground clearance & stance; it being somewhat high) but couldn't decide upon it being a hard or soft tail from images at that time. It's always made me smile seeing a trike being riden & I've never seen a unhappy looking triker! Very interested in the info on the back end; axle ratio, (Reliant type A or B) tyre size, (& aspect ratio) if you would oblige. Chaz

And Wanderer, apologies; I digressed... Also interested in the info for your rear end; axle type, (& ratio) tyre size, (& aspect ratio) and ridability as the project progresses. Cheers, Chaz

Thanks for the reply; The wheels are a tad larger than I was expecting from the images. (as I remember them?) So; couldn't help but Google a few figures; the 205/50×16 tyre diameter is only just over an inch less than the diameter of the 150/70×17 tyre.
205/50×16 = 24.06in. Diameter. (75.55in. Rolling Circumference)
150/70×17 = 25.26in. Diameter. (79.38in. Rolling Circumference)

sorry for the late reply been busy with work & fettling my trike, the rear axle is a ford capri 3/9 ratio i'm told yet to verify this but deffo a ford axle tyre at the moment are 205/45/16 i may put smaller wheels on & tyres with a bigger profile to give the same rolling radius & a bit of bounce given the trike is hardtailed whe i say hard tailed i mean HARD! the axle has been welded to the frame, work is progressing slowly but is progressing so far I've changed the forks for suzuki gsxr 600 ones along with the front wheel that gives me twin calipers, currently rewiring the trike thinking of maybe forward controls not sure yet on the question of control, Yellow Melos do you have any pics of yours, other things planed are a solo seat & 2 single seats instead of the bench seat that came with it
