Hi guys,
my revere has let me down for the first time after 5 years of solid service, and it appears to be the crank sensor at fault, with 480ohms across the first sensor, and 1.8Mohms across the second. These are proving difficult to find, with none available brand new it would seem and second hand ones of dubious quality. Does anyone on here have a good spare? need the bike to get to work so its fairly urgent!
If anyone else needs to check their sensors at any point in the future, if tracing a no-spark issue, its nice and simple, just unplug the 4 pin connector from the CDI box under the tail cowling, and check resistance, both pairs of connectors should show 450-550 ohms and should not be earthing.
thanks in advance everyone, hope I can get the honda back on the road!
