If you do split the spares for sale, could you put my name on the rear indicators please. Cheers, Nigel.

I'm in need of a water pump if you've still got it and decide to split - also got a pair of rear indicators going spare for gramps if you don't...

Hi Oddjob1, that radiator fan still going spare? If so, I'm interested and would like to know how much you are after for it. Feel free to PM me or post reply here. Cheers.

Hi Sold now but I have a slightly smaller fan off a cb1 radiator..which will fit for £15 including postage Thanks oddjob. I'm interested. Just checking, your CB1 is complete fan/motor assembly? I couldn't get the shroud off the radiator for fear of breaking the radiator but I managed to unscrew the three motor retaining bolts from it. See photo. Do you think it will fit OK? Rad went back on the bike without the fan assembly like in second photo. Might have to switch the fan blade over? Attachments:

Hi oddjob1, Thanks for the response. My NTV fan blade is 154mm with about 4mm clearance but I should be able to swap them over if the spindles are the same (see earlier composite photo for approx dimensions). Critical measurement is the distance between the motor mounting lugs. Like I say, I can only undo one nut to separate the fan's shroud from the radiator body so ideally I'd like to leave it and just swap the motor. The distance between the mounts for the motor to attach to the shroud is 90mm, making a 90mm equilateral triangle. If the three mount lugs are more or less 90mm apart (like in the diagram in the photo above) give or take a mm, it should fit in OK and I'll just have to sort the wiring out. The other bit is the depth of the actual motor body but there's a bit of clearance so as long as it is a "flat" motor type, should fit. So, the question is, are the motor mounts about 90mm apart on yours? Thanks again.

I did a quick search of eBay for a CB1 fan. The only one I found was in the US but there were some useful photos in the listing. The shroud is different but the rear motor brush housing "looks" identical to the broken one I pulled off the NTV. I'll add a photo. Even the sticker is very similar except for the model and serial numbers which, I guess, refers to the whole assembly. On mine, the sticker reads: FLAT MOTOR SSW-8111(D)/3310A on the CB1's it reads: FLAT MOTOR SSW-8115/8Z13. If the sizes match up, I'd say we have a deal. Attachments:

Funny, the little status above my avatar says "Ahh! Just passed their test". I wish. That was, erm, 1986.
