OK, so number 1 son swapped me his Bandit for the NTV, keeping it in the family and my shed. Obviously a Bandit is a bit too frantic and hard work for this Granddad (loadsa fun, but you've got to thrash it everywhere), soooooo ..... a wee bit of horsetrading and haggling later and I'm now piloting a big red bus: 1989 Kwak GTR1000, 47000 miles on a bomb-proof engine, endless torque, big fat seat and a barn door sized fairing that means I could ride home yesterday in monsoon conditions wearing a leather jacket and jeans with just a slight damp patch round the back. It handles nicely too, more stable than chuckable, but you can get it over on it's ear without worrying, which is nice! Problem is, how long will it take the son to figure out he wants one too?

Underrated old bus. Hope you enjoy many comfortable (and fast!) miles.
