After 4 and a bit happy years, looks like I'll be parting company with Wee Norman the NTV, reason being I need something more upright and touring-y these days, and I just happen to have spotted a beauty the other day. So ..... Gumtree here we come - clicky link. If any of you are interested, here's the spec: '96 NTV650 64,000 miles New Bridgestone BT45s both ends Fuel 'zorst HEL hose up front Banjo brake light switches Fuel pump points replaced a couple of months ago New (chinese) radiator just before Xmas Puig mini screen NX650 handguards (scabby blue showing through the red paint) One pound per cc seems a fair price - £650 - any takers?

I'll be sorry to see you go, but I can understand the need for something more upright. There are times, especially when I'm tired and riding along Sheffield's dire roads, when I want a bit more comfort. What are you getting instead?

I hope you"ll still stick around this forum. But I know what you mean about the more comfortable riding position: my V-strom is definitely an improvement in that field.

No probs gills - if it keeps the thread up at the top of the listings that can only help me ....
Once Wee Norman's gone I'll probably pop in now and then to see what's happening, so don't think you're gonna get rid of me that easily! As for his replacement, well there's a couple of bikes I'm interested in, a lot depends on what's available when I get my hands on the funds - let's just say the main contenders are both 4 cylinder litre engined shaftie tourers from the late 80's/early 90's, one's got a blue propellor symbol on it and the other was it's main Japanese contender starting with a K.
So - who wants the NTV? I can deliver for the cost of fuel there and back .....

Update - new MOT just put on it this morning, so it's now tested right up to June 2015, no advisories, no comments other than "It's a pile of shite, but it's a well maintained pile of shite" (thanks Derek!)

Updated update - Wee Norman is staying in the family! Number 1 son took it for a spin today and has been seduced by the dark side power delivery of the v-twin, so we've done some horsetrading and I take his Bandit 600 to sell on, he gets the NTV. So you ain't got rid of me yet! So .... anyone want a '99 Bandit 600, 25,000 miles, good all round condition T&T to November, £950
