Welcome to the club cindik.
Hope you get your electrical questions sorted. One of our members builds electric bikes so one way or another I hope we can help.

I bought a project NTV650 for VERY little from a friendly local bike-breaker, keyed-in NTV for advice, liked this forum
Re CindiK's starter-draw amperage, I may have a partial answer soon I have just paid <£10 on ebay for a cheap/cheerful 1000amp ac & dc clamp-type ("Hall-effect") ammeter, which should arrive next week. When it does, I could test it on my NTV battery-to-starter cable while cranking the engine from cold, and post the reading here, if that would help? Would it be OK to ask what caused the idea of fitting an ammeter? i.e. was it a sense of starter- reluctance. maybe? Al the best Ed

PS Yes, I'm the electric-bike geek I ended-up guesting the message above despite logging-in (so any advice from me, bear in mind I'm called "The Bodgineer") And that by my friends..... All the best Ed PS I think they mean I get things to work, sometimes, but often by methods

I am considering an ammeter to monitor the current in/out of the battery, as I will be running a few accessories including heated clothing.
I was curious about starter current as I wanted to avoid overloading any meter I installed.

Hi everyone, I'm new here and a new owner of a full licence and an '88 revere. spent ages looking through trying to find reviews and info on the revere rather than the ntv 650 and finally came across this awesome site, I take my hat off to you!

Hi Gareth123, Welcome to the club. Glad you like what we have done. We have grown fast over the last couple of years and have many active members. I ride an 89 Revere and in my opinion you have picked well ATB Roger

Welcome to the forum Jay85
Sounds like you are off to a good start.
Was there any reason you chose your Revere?
Where abouts are you from?

HI McF to be honest the main reason was the price (£675 1 yr tax and mot) at first but then i looked into the revues online for them and they sounded like a good easy bike to continue my learning on was either my ntv or a cb500 and once i read about the shaft drive being easy or no maintenance it was an easy choice and one im certainly glad i made . im from an old mining village just outside of ayr 35 miles south of glasgow . i will try and upload a few photos when i wash the bike first as shes a bit grubby at the min . thanks for the welcome Jay
