After several years 'away' I found the need to get back to biking and found a nice little ntv650 from 1994. Now it's in my grubby little hands I' like to make a few improvements. 1st is a back rack for a big topbox - does anyone have a cheap givi monolock or are there any other good racks out there (NOT RENNTEC). Secondly I'd love to upgrade the pitiful front light. Is it best to get a whole new unit with a decent reflector? Would a later unit from a modern deauville fit? And speaking of which ... Would it be possible just to fit a deauville fairing? Any help gratefully received. Btw, I'm in North Yorkshire

My headlight upgrade ntvhonda.proboards.com/thread/3754/ntv650-zrx-fairing they are quite rare, i was thinking of a suzuki bandit then found this one the deauville fairing may fit but the frames are a lot diffrent so you would have to make a mounting bracket, the headlight on the deau is only a single unit so probably not much diffrent, Hid upgrade/ ray

Thanks for the reply. Your bike looks great. I think I'll have to find some breakers yards to find a cheap fairing (or e-bay). As for the light ... After looking round the forum in the daylight I found a thread suggesting swapping it for a headlight unit from a mini. If I can find a fairing with round light holes I should kill 2 birds with one spanner still searching for a rack.

On eBay de I keep seeing a new headlamp with a plastic reflector and lens which would be excellent for AT HID conversion, as as far as I know HIDs work well with the glass directing the beam.
Been thinking of it myself but got other repairs before improvements to deal with first.

Meant to say HIDs don't work well with a glass lens.
