my bike was starting to show its age so i though to tart it up a bit. Sripped it down, sent everything metal to be blasted and powder coated and am just putting it back together now. I though a satin black frame and ancillaries would make it look a little more modern. Haven't decided on the main colour yet. I have stuff (tank, side panels, front fender and rear trim) in standard black & turquoise green and a repainted yellow set but I am tempted to go with a warm metallic orange.. I have re-plated and black passivated the fixings which were non-standard, like the rear fender bolts, radiator shroud bolts, carb clips etc. The rest I used stainless So, got the bits back from the powder coaters and slapped the first bits on it. Here's how it is so far And the radiator which was ok. It took a good bath in caustic soda before I dumped a can of acid primer and then a matt high temp paint. The little hole shouldn't make much difference Just re-plating the rear damper and waiting for the spring to be powder coated and I've send the front fork tubes to be re-chromed.
