My ntv650(1994) has always had a stumble around 2,750rpm, you open the trottle and it almost pauses then takes off.
Almost as soon as I got my ntv650 I put a k+n filter in and have recently removed the snorkle
it feels better but I probably should rejet(a bit) any ideas where to start? are the carbs the same as the bros/hawk? if so i could put the front jet in the rear and upjet the front by the same.
The exhaust is a motad, I do not want a free flowing exhaust as sometimes I leave for work at 0430 and I like my neighbours
Cheers

try putting the original air filter back on and see if that rectifies the problem. At least if it doesn't, you know it isn't because of the K&N so you won't waste time fiddling with jetting.
In my limited experience, it seems that an NTV engine running on it's original carbs and jets will very rarely need rejetting even with reasonably substantial changes to other things like filters and exhausts.

re-jetting if your not sure what our doing...................leave it alone...............i know from experience i re-jetted the vile to match the airbox........ive now bought a carb to sort out the problems....SAME JETS what year is the bike................. model p 1993 = 132 front & 128 rear jet model s-t 1995 - 125 jet both nt model v-w1998 = 125 both`
also......i fitted the 1993 carbs on 1998 vile..it was quicker & pulled stronger but only added about 10mph topend am running semi open pipe on 125 jets with no problems

Fuel exhaust and K&N panel filter for me. Jetted at 137 front and 132 rear. Got 2x 140 I am planning to try next . no running issues by the way.
