Q: Does anybody know the registration of the very first Revere registered with the DVLA ?
Q: It must be on an "E" plate ?
How could we find this information out, legally ?

hmm, not too sure how you could go about it with the DVLA, but i know mine was the earliest we have yet on the site, and that is on an E plate, i think it was May 1988? as far as vin numbers go, mine should have been 14th off the line i think.
other than that, not sure how you would go about it?

I wonder if we should/could (legally, data protection, blah) start an NTV register...? My brother has a classic Triumph (car) and they keep a register of all numbers, reg dates etc. I think (would have to check) that each member agrees to it being shared with all other owners who also agree to share info....
Not sure if its possible in these times of data protection and privacy though....
As for the question of finding out the oldest (having previously worked in the insurance industry for a bit) even those who have access to the DVLA lookups can only search and validate against a specific reg. no - they can't do a search of all Honda NTVs... I'm sure the DVLA themselves can, but won't.....

@ GroovyLee... Finally www.hondantv.co.uk/noldestbytype.php@ thatsawkward re a register as long as we did not keep names and addresses members could post Reg Letter and first registered dates to a new forum thread. A pic could be added to show stock or modifications. As long as we do not post vin numbers or our addresses I cant see a data protection issue. If we had a thread for each model it would be easy for any of us to post keeping a list of the oldest ten say.

Just seen this gif image of model (chassis) numbers of the 3 bikes under my care 2100 114 , 'F' plate ( 600-J on VO5 ) registered Mar 89' 2100 675 , 'G' plate ( 600-K on VO5 ) 2300 057 , 'J' plate ( 600-M on VO5 ) Q: So does this mean that there is a 2000002 on an 'E' plate somewhere ? Obviously 2000002 could be anywhere in Europe / World ? Just seen post below........... 2000002 - 2000016 ( 14 bikes still in the running ?)

Hey ALL! Mine is: PC22 2000196. Am I understanding this right that there was only 517 machines of the J model ever made in the world? And I own number 196? If so, I must admit, I feel even more proud of my 'Old-Girl' (the bike haha).

Just bought an NTV600 having previously owned one a few years ago which I regretted selling. Looking at the list of engine/frame numbers someone published a few weeks ago, mine is a K model but was not registered in UK until June 1991. The frame number is 2100230 which puts its manufacture nearer 1988 than 1991. Any way of establishing exactly when it was made?
Thanks
Peter

Hi starfield - looking at the attached jpg few post up puts your bike in the '88 - '91 bracket however your number 230 puts it about 100 more an F reg revere I own (in bits) so probablymore mid '89. Maybe it was an import from europe or bike shop demonstrator (wild guess) ?

My Revere is registered 26/01/89 (F).
Going off the numbers above and taking that they made a regular 55 per month it looks like it was made in May 1988 (No 236) so about half way through the first production run (J).

The V5c records it as new at first registration on 14-6-91. This ties up with the owners service book and its first free service on 6-8-91. The dealer was Eric Holmes Ltd of South Wigston, Leics. Its still only done 26500 and condition to match so I am very happy with it so far.
I will settle for it being a 1989 model as that makes it VMCC eligible next year. 1988 would have been even better as I could then choose to ride it in appropriate VMCC events this year.
