Hi everyone, would really quite like a rack to put on the honda, want to be able to carry all kinds of stuff in the near future but pretty low budget, cheaper the better. Don't care what it looks like or even if it's damaged, as long as I can weld it up and paint it and fit it without too much trouble. Let me know if you have one! And a set of hardcases would be great at some point in the future but I know they rarely come up! And that everyone else wants them as well. Cheers, Dan

That would be incredible! By the way, forget the cheque for the speedo cable, I really like what you're doing with the bike and I'm pleased that that cable will be used on it

Whats a renthal rack like? And will that one fit the revere? and it'll take some variety of panniers?

Ah right, thanks for the offer but I think I'll have to pass on that, apparently the weight limit is 2.5kg and I really need a lot more than that! It's a sports rack, not really a touring rack, and Im going to need to carry a reasonable amount of gear on it and they need to withstand luggage straps etc.
thanks though

Ah! They look promising, thanks for that! Are they the original honda panniers? Kidderminster is just down the road so I might try and get down there.

Actually, is there any chance I might be able to get the renntec rack please? Im just thinknig about it and if I can get that pannier set , i should be able to put the renntec on as well which could work quite well, so panniers + a frame that I can use to run luggage straps across the seat and a the renntec that I can luggage strap another bag onto maybe, I'll try and work out what I can do then let you know, where does the renntec rack attatch?
Thanks

The top box section of the rack seems to be missing. It may have been an extra on mine so it may not actually be 'missing'
The pannier mounts seem unusual as they seem to bolt to the frame where mine has another set of clips.
If it is close I would have a look first and check it is what you are after.
All that said if it does the job for the right price.
I would not want to use these every day, as they are bulky and the catches are fiddly. That said for camping, load-lock-ride & remove. they will be just the job.

Thanks from the looks of it, it bolts to where the grab handle does, so should be simple. it will need a clean and possibly a spray, as the previous owner 'tried' to spray it chrome i think..... if you def want it, let me know and i'll get it posted Lee

Right, decided to give the rack and panniers a miss, you're right, looks pretty botched.
I'm going to do the rack and panniers when finances allow and do them properly, a big stable top plate would be useful as well because I want to be able to carry a mountain bike some of the times I go camping, so I'll build a bike stand out of a wooden plank + a few slots for bits of the bike to sit in + luggage straps and then bolt the wood to the top plate, insert bicycle (front wheel removed) and tie down!
But, groovylee, that renntec rack could actually be very useful for me, I need something to strap a soft bag full of clothes to and I reckon that would do the job perfectly, I've got some black paint so that's fine, I can tidy it up, how much would you like for it?
Thanks

Is there any chance I might be able to PM you a different address to send it to please? I'm away over Easter and the rack would be very handy for lugging all my stuff back up!
