Looking for NTV650 Front mudguard. Will accept anything that fits (I've ruined mine, classic power drill/loss of temper when drilling out a snapped stud).
Ideally in red, but not too choosy.
Feeling foolish.

Where are you based? I have a Red one at home that came off my bike last night. Not cracked but touched up with black paint on the front edge.
I can post pictures later in the week. Happy to send it to you for the postage. Which you can paypal to me if you want it.

That reminds me, I repaired a cracked (& generally shoddy) front mudguard last summer using soldering iron & cable ties followed by some paint. Looks pretty good, so don't throw the cracked ones away, they can be repaired if needed.

I assume you melted the cable tie into the back of the crack rather than drilled and laced the mudguard?
If have melted old pens before. As you say does the job to keep things going.

It was a bit more complex than that as the mudguard had already been drilled & laced with black cable ties, so it was in a bad state at the front. There was also a big crack near the centre which hadn't been tackled at all.
Solution was to take off the cable ties, clean up the mudguard (major amount of mud, oil, grease), then sealed the cracks from the underside with the soldering iron followed by filling the holes & gaps in the cracks with material from new cable ties.
Next job would have been to use knifing stopper but I didn't have any so left that part out.
Then it was sand down & eventually paint with primer & a topcoat.
The result isn't perfect by a long stretch as I didn't do the whole job properly, but can do the knifing stopper in future when I have some matching paint (currently in a ford blue that I picked up in a sale rather than the deep Honda blue). However, it looks better than the rest of the bike so I'm not complaining.
Basically the result is a mudguard that has the flexibility of the original design & looks OK rather than perfect for a cost of a couple of quid.
