I was just thinking, what a handy place to store your tools. So far so good.

a lot of work there, but clearly an innovative idea - nice pics
did your throttle cables reach OK, and no problems lock to lock?

You seem to of dropped the forks down the top yoke (they are not triple tree's, thats a yank term) you have altered the rake and the trail of the front forks, expect the bike to handle like a tea tray due to the changes. have fun odie

hi, i have not moved the forks in the top york there was a line all the way round the forks and i have left it as it was , what i have done is to put the second top york on top of the old one. with a pice of metal on the bolts at the front, then i used 60 mill bolts ( where the scrwdrivers are fitted) to go through the handle bars and the spacer (the top clamp i cut up )in to the standard top clamp so in all it is fixed in place with 6 bolts with lock thread on all bolts,so far in two days i have done over 80 miles with no problem,or any bolts comming loose, will post the finished one,s tomorrow, ( friday ) john ( outlaw )

Outlaws pictures are no longer on line. This is not an image of Outlaws project but is the only image I have to show you how it looked. (These are rather nice machined versions of the same idea) Basically Outlaw cut the mid section out of a top yoke to create two packers. Then using longer bolts, bolted the bars back on. I hope this helps. ATB Roger

Hi Rj2para Thanks for the photos..
I actually have an extra top yoke from my donarbike :-) So cutting the mid section out of top yoke shouldn´t be a problem, and thereby making two spacers/packers.
But does the "top yoke pieces" bolt on top of the existing top yoke? or do I need to grind the backside of the "top yoke piece" to make an even surface between the "top yoke piece" and the existing top yoke?
And if the "top yoke piece" doesnt need any mod (other the sawing the top yoke into two pieces), then I just need to buy som extra long bolts that will go through extra material ?
Best regards Alex

alexdk, I don't 'think' so. But I can't be sure. Sounds like you have all the bits you need to give it a try. I think Thatsawkward still has the spacers/packers off Outlaw's old bike so he may be able to help with that.

Hi rj2para
Thanks for the pictures :-)
I found the top yoke from my reserve bike and made a couple of packers with the help of "mr. Grinder".. found some new (longer) M8 bolt, and it works fantastic :-)
Super easy mod, cheap and helps on the riding position.
Best regards Alex

alexdk. Thanks for the update. Pleased you were able to get it sorted. I take it you used the grinder on your spare top yoke? Rj
