Today I woke up and saw this beautifull sunny day so I thought it was time to get the aNTy out of the garage... Since looking at some aNTy pictures is always a pleasure, I decided to share with you some pics i've taken today on my 80km ride, near lisbon. Its been a while without posting here because time is not abundant lately... Since my last postings, I've done some required work on the bike. Took the bike to a Honda dealer to adjust valve clearances because the engine was making some valve noise, as I've shown you on some videos. It is much better now ! I bought a black Puig windscreen too, which makes some real difference giving a slightly confortable ride. Now the pics : I love these curvy roads on green open fields ... :-)

Hi Cyphron and pleased you managed to get some time for a ride, but more importantly, to share news and photos of it with us.
Bike as always is looking really nice, the puig screen is an elegant modification and functional too!
Pleased to see that the valve clearances have quitened your aNTy down - video when you have chance?

Pleased to see that the valve clearances have quitened your aNTy down - video when you have chance? Yes, I will post a video of it soon. I also mounted a set of 25mm handlebar risers to improve the riding confort. They are noticeable on the last pic. Don't be fooled by the sunny weather ... It was cold as hell ! (at least for us portuguese people...). My foot frozen on this ride ! Despite the sun, there were only 4ÂșC, which probably mean nothing for you guys ... :-)

Nice bike, nice roads, nice weather - I'm not at all jealous, oh no, not me, no way, no sir. However .... that first pic gave me a helluva jolt of deja-vu, could've sworn you'd been over my way - took some time to dig up the evidence, but here goes: Another Honda 650 v-twin on a road that looks like it was separated at birth from your one: Spooky, huh? Anyone got any more identical twin roads?

Amazing ... Very similar indeed ...
This is the proof that nature repeats itself several times ...
This is not the first time a came across such similarity between two completely different locations ...
Where it that road located ? Maybe one day I can manage to get over your way indeed :-)

I believe that's somewhere along The Slug (yes it is officially called Slug Road) between Crathes & Stonehaven - Google Maps LinkThat whole area is riddled with great roads, the you get over to the West coast and it gets even better!

We could look for wallpaper in these pics I think. It will help us look forward to Summer in th UK The white house looks interesting, is it yours? That is a military monument (although it doesn't look like one). It's some kind of memorial to some war 'heroes' or something, and it's still being construted ... I pictured it because it was completely isolated near a road I went through while climbing to the top of a small mountain ... Feel free to use the pics as wallpapers. I have higher resolution versions, so PM me if you decide to choose one of them.

Following McF suggestion, here are two videos to compare the engine noise Before and After having the Valve Clearances adjusted. Before Valve Adjustment : After Valve Adjustment : I guess these two give a nice idea of the difference (maybe more noticeable with headphones). Edited by McF I changed the to [youtube] which then "embeds" the video into the post. - makes it a little easier to watch

Sounded OK in the first one, but there is a noticeable improvement in the second. A little less top end noise and I think a little smoother with a slower tick over?
Thanks for posting
