Even the mighty Norfolk has limits - and quite right too, those conditions look beyond even your boundaries! Photos are tremendous though That looks a lot worse than the day out I had on Tuesday, 15 miles across Bilsdale and surrounding area. Quite often in snow to mid thigh. My dog managed quite well for most of the time. I was carrying over 20Kg on my back; I weigh just under 80Kg, so each time I put my boot down, 100kg took me to the bottom of the snow. The dog managed to stay on top of the frozen crust for much of the time, but disaster (for him!) struck when the crust could no longer bear his weight - he ended up "swimming" through the snow and looked pretty pi$$ed off - no wonder as he was dragging his "undercarriage" through the snow and ice. When we got back to better conditions I noticed he had several little icicles dangling against his bollix. I felt so sorry I was obliged to break them off - honestly officer, that's what I was doing. Got an excellent sequence of photos from near Wainstones looking west towards Bilsdale transmitter. In the valley bottom to the left, is the Stokesley - Helmsley Road - the B1257, an excellent bikers road, but sadly the final ride for too many these days. I'm sure Blitzman will add stories of the joys of riding this route! Anyway, enjoy my own humble photo experience at photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=9770cc9f-150f-4449-809f-dc7fd9a3e843Pan around this and at the right "look down" for a very miserable "Zach" and

given the choice i would have took my NT & done better than the landrover drivers who got stuck I'm guessing you're referring to that growing menace on our roads - young mums driving their "Chelsea Tractors" I've seen so many recently in their big, flash 4 x 4 that haven't the faintest idea how to drive them

I am sure he is say you twonk I am sodding cold can we go home now, muppet! The first photo was just after we stopped for a quick bite of lunch, he was shivering a little, but probably thinking "come on you idle gets, there's miles to go yet and I have bushes to sniff" This is where he was thinking "I want to go home because I'm cold, tired and wet" Sorry for sidelining your thread Norfolk!

MCF Is right about the local race track known as the road from stokesley to hemsley b1257 it has hump back that gets the front wheel airborne blind summits sharp right and left corners long drags up and fast down hills with our friendly police in unmarked cars and a favorite spot at the end of some nice twistys for a police inspection lay-bye also speed gun as you come round this last corner before lay-bye very unforgiving for small number plates silencers etc there is a need sometimes for some control as its claimed a lot of riders to fast or back to bike rider who have been off the scene for many years new bikes UN tested

Or is "Jack Russel" perhaps the dog's name instead of it's breed GvS
