Hi,
I have just been given an NTV650 that has sat in a shed for several years. I am in the UK and it is registered 1995 (P reg). However, it is not a UK bike as the speedo is in km. I removed the front caliper and cleaned it up, but the pads aren't those specified for the bike. The proper pads have a single pad pin, while the one on it have two pad pins. Furthermore, the pads in the brakes foul part of the brake arm and don't seem to fit properly. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Sounds like whoever had the bike before you was a dangerous bodge merchant of the highest order. I`d give the whole bike a once over in case there is any other "maintenance" that hasn`t been done right. As long as the caliper isn`t damaged and is working ok after a clean up, just put the correct pads in and away you go. Honda part number is 06455-MS9-405, but there are plenty of cheaper options out there, put `NTV front brake pads` into the ebay search bar and take your pick of over a 1000.
