Can anyone recommend handlebar risers for 1994 ntv 650 p which would bring the bars up and back towards the rider as after 55 years of riding, I am finding it to be a bit of a stretch. Cheer`s, Nigel.

Same problem here, riding for 60+ years and finding the NTV is getting to be a bit of a handfull. I tried Qtech risers (available on ebay) -- they give a rise of 18mm which would have also allowed bars to be rotated rearwards slightly. Unfortunately the length some of the cables and wiring was insufficient for the extra height so the idea was shelved. Solved the problem by buying a smaller/lighter bike to play with, a 1979 Moto Guzzi V50.
If you do decide to give the Qtech risers a try don't be put off by the quoted bolt spacing of 35mm. The will actually fit the NTV which is 32mm as the bolt holes in the risers are slightly elongated.

Have you considered different handlebars that rise up and back a bit more? Maybe these?

How you solved "shorter" gas cables to carburetors?
I changed original handlebar (year 97) and both cables to carb are too short (I used enduro handlebars). Do you know if Deauville 650 has longer "gas cables".
Thanks

Hi Slow, the short answer to your quiery; yes, the Deauville 650 does have longer "gas cables". But I'd check out the length for use with 'enduro handlebars' before commiting anyway. That said; have you considered using Transalp 600 "gas cables"? BUT; bear in mind although you'll have the width of bar the triple trees are more in line & as such are flatter, which may negate some length in the cable; again check for length before commiting! Hope this helps, sounds an interesting build; got any images to accompany post? Please post your resolution to this query.

Dear Chaz, good idea (I don´t know why I didn´t remember check Transalp ). I used some older renthal which I had at TTR .(example www.renthal.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2856)Electric cables fits without problems. Collegues descibe in different topic that is necessary make pin holes, its right. "Gas cables" (I don´t know correct english designation) I put from right side under tank, its temporary solution, but it should works some time... I try to solve which type clutch "cable" I will use also. Cluth lever goes little bit difficult (new clutch springs etc.), or I´m to lazy. I used "mechanical cluctch booster", some equivalent of hydraulic cluctch, but very cheap, but it necessary use straight cable instead with radius near lever. Photos I will make and post it. ( www.m-style.cz/cs/ostatni-prislusenstvi-/1809-univerzalni-cnc-m-style-posilovac-lanka-spojky.html?ipa=0&ins= ) Slow P.S: Prices of Transalp "gas cables" are mad (together 76 pounds).

Hi Slow, thank you for your reply and links. That front end looks well clean, tidy and interesting, it would be nice to see more of her.
I assume collegue refers to the locating holes for the lugs inside of the standard NTV handlebar clamps. (Clutch & front brake)
Also in another topic within this site a member, ("Thats Awkward") posted a diagram of the stock cable & loom runs as is standard.
Nothing wrong with the term "Gas cables", but the usual term, (in the UK) would normally be 'throttle cables'. In my reply I used the term "triple trees", (Another Americanism) but the usual term, (used in the UK) would normally be 'yokes'. Hope I didn't confuse the issue trying to keep my reply in context.
All the best Chaz

Hi Chaz, I made few photos, I hope that its visible on it. I tried to find some similar and longer throttle cables in bike shop near my village, but Honda has some "special" types. I will try to ask Transalp members or another way is use different "universal" gas accelerator. Second problem with cluch-booster I will try to solve tommorow with different cluctch cable.

Hi Slow, yes your images posted onto the site just fine & she does look sweet.
It can be seen how you've routed your throttle cables through the frame.
I spoke with a mate who reckons the; Deauville & Transalp throttle cables are of roughly the same length, (both slightly longer than is standard on a NTV.) The cable outlets on the Transalp throttle housing, (on handlebar) are angled differently, (in line with the handlebar) The throttle cable adjusters on the Transalp cables are straight, (in line with the cable) These differences together should also give a little more play.
All the best, Chaz

Hello Chaz, thank you. You have right, Transalp has totaly different right "throttle" handlebar (without light switch and cables output) and throttle cables are straigh as you wrote. (I ogled Transalp in the city, yesterday.) I will focus on Deauville. I found offer for second hand throttle cables for Deauville and I hope that selles send me cables length. Regards slow

Dear Chaz, Deauville throttle cables arrived at Friday and both fix well (each is about 10cm longer than NTV cables). Do you think this man´s pages? www.hondantv.co.uk/nthatsawkwardsforks.php# ,but he rebult half of NTV, amazing (and his NTV looks very good). Thank you for you long-term support Slow
